For Sainsbury’s, we created a standout recruitment campaign designed to attract IT talent in Manchester through a bold, highly targeted piece of employer marketing. Built around a Space Invaders-inspired concept, the campaign brought energy, nostalgia and real stopping power to the hiring challenge — using tram wraps, 48-sheet posters and chalk floor sprays to turn the city into a live recruitment canvas. It was a creative approach designed to cut through in a competitive market and put the Sainsbury’s technology opportunity in front of the right audience in a way that felt unexpected, memorable and unmistakably engaging.

Alongside the campaign, our digital team developed a bespoke interview toolkit to support the hiring process itself — helping Sainsbury’s create a more consistent, professional and effective experience once candidates were in the funnel. The result was a joined-up recruitment solution that combined big creative thinking with practical digital delivery: attracting attention in the real world, then supporting better assessment and decision-making behind the scenes.
